Multiple Greek organizations at Marshall University have been temporarily suspended due to allegations of hazing behavior


HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Three Greek organizations at Marshall University were temporarily suspended due to reported hazing incidents.

Two separate incidents were noticed by the university; one event featured Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity and Alpha Xi Delta fraternity, and the other involved Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

An internal investigation is ongoing by the Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability, the Title IX Office, and other entities into alleged conduct involving sexual harassment, alcohol abuse, and other hazing activities.

The actions were reported through social media posts and student complaints.
