New Delhi: French Ambassador to India Thierry Mathou had his mobile phone stolen while he and his wife were shopping in Delhi as part of Diwali festivities. Police later recovered the stolen phone and arrested four people.

The theft occurred on October 20.

Thierry Mathou fell victim to pickpocketing while he and his wife were shopping at Chandni Chowk market. He filed an e-complaint reporting that his phone was lost near the Jain Temple.

Following the complaint, the police launched an investigation by examining the security camera footage and the suspects were caught.
The four people arrested are aged between 20 and 25. The stolen mobile phone was successfully recovered.
