The purpose of the visit was to help students understand the challenges faced by Asha Nilaya’s children, conduct fun activities, motivate them and distribute food. The experience also gave students the opportunity to reflect on their own privilege with gratitude.

A group of 62 students and many faculty members attended the event. The interactions between SMVITM students and Asha Nilaya’s children were heartwarming; students were actively interacting and forming friendly bonds. They performed an entertaining program of songs, dances and games for over 60 children from Asha Nilaya.

For faculty, the visit was a humbling reminder of life’s uncertainties and the importance of showing respect, compassion, and empathy toward others.

The visit organized by Aasare reflects SMVITM’s commitment to promoting community engagement and developing students as socially responsible individuals.
