Surveillance footage helps identify Youngsville burglars | News, Sports, Jobs

An arrest warrant has been issued for two Jamestown residents accused of stealing an e-bike from a Youngsville garage.

Charges were filed Friday against Aaron Nazario, 39, and Sarah E. Lundsten, 42, in connection with a burglary that occurred Oct. 20 in Youngsville.

Nazario is charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and trespassing – entering a structure, all felonies, as well as theft by unlawful taking, loitering and prowling at night, both misdemeanor charges.

Lundsten is charged with conspiracy to commit theft, a felony, and nighttime loitering and prowling, a misdemeanor.

Nazario allegedly stole an e-bike worth $1,200 from a garage in Youngsville, according to the probable cause filed in Warren County Court by the Youngsville Police Department. The garage had allegedly been left open throughout the night.

A resident was able to provide Ring doorbell camera footage showing a man and woman walking westbound on East Main Street in Youngsville around 4:27 a.m. on Oct. 20. The man shined a flashlight towards the garage and noticed that it was open. Additional footage from the Country Fair store in Youngsville showed a New York-registered Subaru Forester matching photos and video from the scene of the theft, while two occupants at Country Fair also matched those seen in Ring footage.

The arresting officer said Nazario met a woman at the Country Fair and that cameras showed Nazario pulling a flashlight out of the Subaru and testing it. The flashlight was later seen on video as Nazario used it to see into the open garage, the officer said.

“Nazario was the only person observed walking down the driveway towards the garage during this time.” stated in the declaration. “The video shows Nazario riding his bike in the driveway and then heading east on East Main Street. Then Subaru follows.”

Lundsten was sued for his alleged status as the registered owner of Subaru. Video footage from the Ring doorbell camera allegedly shows Lundsten and Nazario walking down East Main Street together at 4:27 a.m., and then again at 4:36 a.m. with Nazario allegedly getting out of the car and walking toward the driveway. Footage from the Country Fair at 3am allegedly shows them together again.
