ACP Driu adds that as the festive season approaches, there is often an increase in the sale and distribution of drugs as a means of making money.

It states that divisional operations, with the help of their stakeholders, will work together to disrupt and dismantle drug dealing networks.

ACP Driu underlines that the police are actively pursuing the support of Vanua, religious organizations, civil society and relevant stakeholders to carry out the proactive arm towards reducing the supply through increasing awareness of the harmful effects of illegal drugs.

Two people are being detained while the investigation continues.

The seized substances were sent for analysis.
