Rolla police searching for man who impersonated police officer and took photo of teen’s driver’s license

Rolla police asked for the public’s help finding a man posing as a police officer.

The police department announced the incident on its Facebook page.

The post stated that on Oct. 25 at 9:30 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was driving in the area of ​​10th Street and Forum Drive.

When he was stopped at traffic lights, the man in the car in front of him got out and walked towards his vehicle.

The man told the young man that he was a police officer and asked for his driver’s license.

He then took a photo of his driver’s license and license plate.

The man did not tell the teen his name or show his badge.

The teen described the man as a white man in his early to mid-20s with a bushy beard and sandy blond hair.

The man was a passenger in a newer model white SUV.
