The White House is trying to cover up Biden calling Trump supporters “trash” in his speech as he frantically tries to limit damage to Harris’ campaign

The White House went into panic mode Tuesday night after President Biden referred to Donald Trump supporters as “trash.”

While speaking to a Latino advocacy group, the president made the blockhead gaffe that drew immediate comparisons to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 characterization of Trump voters as “deplorables.”

“The other day, a speaker at (Trump’s) rally called Puerto Rico a ‘floating island of garbage,'” Biden told a Latino advocacy group.

‘The only nonsense I see floating out there is his supporters, his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and un-American. It’s completely contrary to everything we do, everything we do.’

In a desperate attempt to clean up the 81-year-old president’s mess, a White House spokesman added an apostrophe to the word “supporter” to imply Biden was talking about just one person.

Biden’s team also provided a transcript of what Biden said; He claimed that he oddly used the word “supporters” as a possessive adjective spelled “supporters” and was merely criticizing comedian Tony Hinchcliffe for joking that Puerto Rico was an “island.” rubbish’

The damage control statement insisted Biden was only mentioning one supporter: comedian Tony Hinchcliffe He jokes that Puerto Rico is a “garbage island.”

“Earlier today, I called Trump supporter’s hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico at the Madison Square Garden rally trash; that’s the only word I can think of to describe it,” Biden said in his own cleansing statement.

‘His demonization of Latinos is illogical. That’s all I wanted to say. ‘The comments at that rally do not reflect who we are as a nation.’

But people on both sides of the aisle were either stunned or outraged by the president’s statement.

Trump seized on Biden’s comment and declared it was ‘worse’ than what Clinton had said eight years ago, and Democrats immediately began to distance themselves from the president.

Her running mate, JD Vance, posted several angry tweets about the incident, writing: ‘Kamala Harris and Joe Biden should be ashamed of themselves.’

She added: ‘A mother mourning the loss of her son who died of a fentanyl overdose is not trash. A truck driver who can’t afford rising diesel prices is not trash. A father who can afford groceries is not trash.’

Trump’s campaign social media account posted the video and commented: ‘We’ll leave this here as a reminder when Joe wakes up and wonders why his intern tweeted this.’

Even some liberals were outraged by Biden’s comments.

Leah McElrath wrote: “As the leader of the Democratic Party, President Biden had ONE job tonight: to STFU and let the current candidate do the news.” ‘No matter how you interpret his words, he couldn’t do it.’

This comes as Harris hopes to capture the nation’s full attention with a carefully planned rally for 75,000 Democrats in front of the White House a week before Election Day. Harris used the occasion to make her final argument for why she should be elected president.

New York Magazine writer Jonathan Chait added: ‘I think Biden was trying to describe the speaker’s comment, not all Trump supporters, as garbage. ‘I also think Biden should stay away from the cameras and the media, but his ego won’t allow it.’

Pollster and author Nate Silver went a step further, suggesting the comments were ill-suited to continuing Biden’s lame duck period.

“His inability to consistently speak clearly to the point of reasonable understanding may also mean that he should not be President of the United States,” the author of The Signal and the Noise wrote.

A journalist named John Harwood tried to quell the anger towards Biden, saying ‘the fake outrage over Biden’s comment is nonsense’.

Trump was at a rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania, when Biden’s comment emerged. While he was still on stage, Republican senator Marco Rubio mentioned this to him.

Rubio told the crowd there were “breaking news” and Biden called them “garbage.” He added: ‘We are not trash, we are patriots, we love America.’

Trump said ‘this is terrible’ and reminded Clinton’s ‘pathetic’ words. He added: ‘Rubbish I guess. worse.”

He added: ‘Please forgive him (Biden) because he doesn’t know what he’s saying.’

Donald Trump Jr. He said: ‘The media spent all week crying over a comedian’s joke. Meanwhile, Tim Walz called Trump supporters Nazis. Kamala Harris refused to condemn it.

‘And now Kamala’s biggest Democratic ally, Joe Biden, is calling all Trump supporters ‘trash.’ Absolutely disgusting!!!’

Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk, who supports Trump, added: ‘Biden just called half of America ‘garbage’.

Josh Shapiro, governor of the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, was among the first Democrats to distance himself from Biden’s comment.

Shapiro was live on CNN when he became aware of the comment.

He said: ‘I would never insult the good people of Pennsylvania or any American, even if they chose to support a candidate I did not support.

‘Those are definitely not the words I would choose.’
