Paul Pelosi attacker sentenced to life in prison without parole

A. SanFrancisco Judge sentences brutal attacker David DePape Nancy Pelosi Her husband died with a hammer two years ago prison without the possibility of patrols.

DePape was found guilty in June of five state charges: residential burglary, aggravated kidnapping, attempting to persuade a witness, false imprisonment and threatening a family member of a public official.

The sentencing hearing came just one day after the two-year anniversary of DePape’s raid on the Pelosis’ San Francisco home.

DePape woke Paul Pelosi in her bed, demanding to know where Nancy Pelosi was. DePape took Pelosi hostage and brutally beat her until officers entered the home, causing serious injuries, including a skull fracture.

Before the judge pronounced DePape’s sentence, DePape took the stand and spent 30 minutes denouncing America’s ‘diabolical murder’, describing how 9/11 was an inside job, his belief that he was a medium, and that his ex-wife was his “twin.” magic rituals.’” DePape did not apologize to Pelosi or her family for brutally attacking him.

DePape’s defense attorney called for him to get a new trial because the aggravated kidnapping charge was added after a San Francisco judge dismissed several other charges because of California’s double jeopardy law.

District Attorney Brooke Jenkins opposed the motion for a new trial.

“This case involved a pattern of phenomena unlike any we have seen before,” Jenkins wrote. “The defendant’s crimes were horrific and novel.”

DePape was sentenced to 30 years in prison in May on federal attempted kidnapping and assault charges.

During the federal hearing, DePape admitted that he wanted to hold Nancy Pelosi hostage until she confessed to “lies” about “Russiagate,” a 2016 scandal that falsely linked Trump to Russia.
